Doublegun
Rings and Bases for an older Ruger M44 Carbine
All,

My "brush gun" for deer is a Ruger M44 "Sporter" carbine manufactured in 1971. I bought it with the Weaver see through rings installed. Problem is that I don't always get my cheek down on the stock so my shooting can be a little erratic. I am looking for suggestions for rings that would be appropriate for the gun.

Thanks

Cheek rests can also be added to the stock.

I just hunted with this cheek rest:

What does it all mean?
You can lower the scope ring or raise the cheek.
The Weaver scope rings are made by many who do not standardize on the meaning of "low".
