ArminiusVertical divided scope rings
I think I trash all my vertical divided scope rings. Read Warne.
Built like a tank, but if you take them off and on regularly, there seems to be forces working on the scope, and it will turn within the rings.
Now I have me got some Leupold rings.
Base and clamp TOTALLY separated from the ring tightening, but the rings seem to have a weakness. On the side, where the movable part of the Weaver base is, there´s VERY few material in the ring!
Look for yourself!
There´s not much more than 1 mm of Steel!
I am talking 30 mm low rings.
What are your experiences?
TIA, Hermann

LionHunterMy experience? It includes Leupold QR or QRW rings and bases on 375 & 375RUM, 416 (2), 458Lott and 458B&M. Both 1" and (mostly) 30mm rings of low and medium heights. I have never had an issue with the rings and have been shooting these rifles at the range and in Africa for almost 20 years now. I mount all my scopes myself.
