NitromanAnyone Have Opinions On Minox Binos?
Been looking at these recently. The 10x40's seem to be at a very good price point. I am wondering if anyone owns Minox binoculars, and can give me an idea of the quality.
Thanks.

JordanI have the 15 x 60 glass. It seems fine to me. I compared it to Doctor's famous 15 x 60 and thought the Minox was a tad better.

I have a 8X compact pair I use for bowhunting, Grat glass, I have had 5 years no troubles.
I have two pair, the BD 6.5x32 IF, and the BD 7x42 BR. I dearly love them both and feel that they are a really good value. Minox has just introduced a new high end series called HG, and the BD series are supposedly going to drop in price, so shop around. I paid $325 for my 7x42's on Ebay and they are just excellent glasses. To show I'm not easily impressed, I also have bins by Leica and Swarovski and the Minox stack up nicely. I recently got back from a hunting trip with a buddy who had Docter 8x42's and we both agreed my Minox 7x42's definitely had better resolution and were just easier on the eyes.
I recommend you call Doug at

martinbnsI have a pair of teh IF 6.5x32. I currently use Pentax SP 10x43 which I like very much. A few observations, they aren't as nice as my pentax, the IF feature is one I could live without, you can't focus items out of the picture ie into the bush. The bush is a blob, for truck use they are OK, eye relief isn't great, and lastly they arent that compact.
