has anyone on the site hunted with threeways safaris with Tokkie van der Merwe ?
His operation is in Zimbabwe.
He was ph of the year for houston safari club.

I hunted Three Ways for leopard with a different PH. I stayed at Tokkie's lodge, and had several conversations with him. PM me if you wish.

So, what does "Three Ways" mean? Rifle, Bow and Handgun? Or something else?

I had the pleasure of hunting with Tokkie in July. It was my first Safari, so I don't have anything to compare to, but I thoroughly enjoyed the expeerience. The lodging, food, and hunting were all excellent. Ny friend and I took several species of plains game. My best was a 54" Kudu. I found Tokkie to be a great host, and good guide.

I was reading the "Rcomend a PH" thread in African Reports and his name and operation were mentioned favorably. Page three of the thread, I believe, if you want to follow up.

I hunted with Tokkie for my first safari in 1988 in Zim. I hunted 28 days and had an absolute splendid time. Nothing was lacking. I see him every year or so to catch up and hope to see him again this year in Houston. Sometimes he shows in Dallas, but I have not checked the exhibitors this year yet.
