GunsCoreATMs frozen in Zimbabwe....maybe the start of the end for Bob?
I hear all the ATM machines in Zimbabwe have been shut down and the whole country is almost back to a barter system. There is a serious cash shortage and since Bob can't print his own money he might not be able to pay the Army or those who keep him in power. This might really be the beginning of the end for Mugabe.
If I were a Zimbo I wouldn't keep any money in a domestic bank. The next step would be for the government to just start raiding the bank accounts of private businesses and citizens. I believe they have done it in the past.
Anyway, I am sure the many Zim operators will make a plan and survive somehow. They always do.

Barry GroulxATMs fine. Used one this morning. Shops full of goods, etc., etc. Rumor mill in overdrive. As far as "the end" for Bob, that's kind of like the saying "rock bottom". Rock bottom for some is far different to rock bottom for others

Good to hear, but if Bob can't pay the military or police and if Zimbabwe can't get any IMF loans unless he leaves, then he isn't going to last long. People are rioting in Harare due to all the police roadblocks and special "tolls" the cops are charging. How long has it been since the cops got a regular paycheck?

Barry GroulxNews this morning from Chinhoyi is that the natives are revolting, but also the rumor mill is in overdrive, so keep ears to the ground.
