<mikeh416Rigby>You won't have any problem, just don't let it sit in the sun on the dash of the hunting vehicle.

Why not? Everyone know that is how you can supercharge loads by 200 fps by heating them on the dashboard.

I don't mind the extra velocity, but extraction can get a bit sticky

Use Enough GunI've used the High Energy's in .375 H&H and in the .270 in Africa and had wonderful results. Go for it.

AtkinsonOur clients use Fed high energy ammo all the time...Actually you probably won't be hunting in that hot a country unless your in the Zambezi delta late in the season.....
There have apparantly been some problems with the Fed hi energy .458 win. but this, by design, is the nature of that brute..
Africa is hot but no more than Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Southern California....

It is definitely hotter than in Norway

.. I leave for Kimberly, RSA 2.june and will be hunting plans game for 10days. This would be my second trip to Africa..
I have used the same load even in summer over here and had no problems, don't worry about it
Cheers

My wife used this load in S. Africa ~3 years ago with no problems. She even took a nice zebra with it, which says a lot for this load. In fact, this is the only gun I don't reload my own hunting loads for, because I can't duplicate it. Rifle is Winchester M-70 with 22" barrel the load chronographs at 2825fps and shoots right at 1" at 100 yards.
