Michael RobinsonI am ecumenical and therefore make a practice of celebrating every religious holiday observed anywhere the world over that is to my benefit.
So please allow me to join in here (conditionally) with respect to wishes for a (happy, somber, sober, reflective, repentant or whatever is appropriate) Eid Mubarak, unless of course such wishes are somehow redundant.
I feel the same way,
mutatis mutandis, on Easter, Rosh Hashanah and even Wiccan event days, etc.
Some may see this as mere virtue signaling on my part, but that is not the case. I simply respect all religions equally.
Now, please do not doubt my sincerity, but I would be grateful if someone would let me know which days I am required or allowed to take off from work.
If fasting or other personal sacrifices are involved here, then certain conditions apply and I would ask all adherents of Islam kindly to disregard all of the foregoing.
