Numzaan Safaris - Pemba
Anyone know of these guys, hunted with them, or where Pemba is.

One of the AR guys is knowledgeable about Mozambique, possible Ganyana.

PH name is Stef Swanaepoel.

Friend is looking at hunting Buff in Mos with them and then leopard in SA. Sounds too fishy to me.

Would appreciate input.

I have met Stef, and know friends of mine that have hunted there, and they speak highly of him.

I have hunted with Stef in the Limpopo Province and in KZN. Good outfit. Had a great hunt with them. I know Stef had some concessions in the Selous in Tanz and something in Moz but I have no experience with them outside the RSA. But I have no reason to doubt his word from my experiences however.

Don't know of them, but Pemba is a coastal town in the very north of Mozambique. Which would leave me to believe they plan on hunting on one of the hunting blocks that borders the Niassa Reserve.

The operators in that area are:

Block A: Luwire
Block B: Kambako Safaris
Block C: Luwire
Block D1: Mozambique Big Game Safaris
Block D2: Johan Calitz
Block E: Niassa Hunter Safaris

Look on Johan Calitz's website for some info about that area.

I have hunted twice with Numzaan Safaries once in 03 and once in 05 for a total of 17 hunting days for plains game. I shot everything I went after and more. In 05 we had a hunter that was hunting with Stef for Buffalo and Leopard. He shot both them they came back to SA where I was hunting. Dave's wife was aready in our camp and they were both still there when I left. I think Dave shot about 18 animals. We still E-mail each other. If you want to contact him send me a PM.
