Conrad mentioned that he was helping Craig because he was not so good with computers, so I will give Craig the benefit of the doubt, and put the blame on that perfect example of modern stupidity.

Scriptus, would you care to take those off too
Oh Good Lord NO!! How the hell could anyone even mention on the same forum, Cindy Garrison and Steve, with or without a jockstrap being involved.
BTW, who is this Boddington chappie??

the very fact that the fund raiser and Facebook links are now gone pretty much says it all (not to mention that a grand total of $120 had been raised before the delete)
Thankfully the facts and only the facts speak for themselves.

LeopardtrackI have great respect and admiration for CB so I hope that this is somehow all a big misunderstanding.
With that said I would like to hear what Craig has to say.... I know that he has posted here in the past so hopefully he will respond and put the matter to rest.
Im sure that he aware of this thread by now

I am afraid I don't agree with you.In my few dealing s with him, he has always been a true gentleman.Conrad Evart is the one who brought all this about, and the rumor of him hunting in a national park is also very hard to believe. No way in hell would I believe that he purposely went into a national park to hunt.If that had actually happened, I will put the blame 100% on the PH he was with. They might be some legal implications here. Or the best way for him is to post what had actually happened.Keeping quiet seems to make the rumors more credible.Forget AR for the moment. The point is there are too many rumors floating about this the quicker he puts them to bed the better it is for him.
Not agreeing with me is fine. I usually have a problem when folks start agreeing with me. I agree with your assessment in principal Saeed.
I have been an amateur observer of human nature for quite a spell now, and one thing I have learned from both real life and the world of internet forums, is that some folks can or do just get so frustrated/overwhelmed/embarrassed or just disgusted over what all has been said/rumored/conjectured, they just with draw. Especially if they feel that people have already tried and found them guilty and are basically demanding an explanation.
I hope he does come back on here and give however much of an explanation he chooses too, but I can see why he might be hesitant to do so.
Look how quickly this escalated and how quickly people went to pointing fingers/making jokes/accusations and assumptions. Will those people forgive and forget just as quickly, No. There be those that will continue to make comments and snipe away every chance they get.
As far as I know the site has no rules preventing that sort of behavior. Does Mr. Boddington want to come back on here and offer an explanation of any kind knowing how quickly people just on this, knowing that ANY explanation he gives now is going to appear suspect too many folks on here.
You know better than I do, that anyone that has almost any level of notoriety becomes a target for some folks on here. An explanation would help in some way but I think personally this got so far out of hand that Mr. Boddington may just wash his hands of this place and I for one would not like to see that happen.
This is all just my opinion.

craig boddingtonElsewhere in this forum I have, I think, answered both the untrue (and thus absolutely libelous) allegation that I hunted in a national park in Australia. I know where the park is...I know where I was. Nobody in our party entered the park...but I, personally, did not hunt and did not carry a firearm on that portion of the trip. So the allegation is purest bullshit...and I look forward to the day when I confront the Australian asshole who started it. I think I have also responded elsewhere, hopefully with what little remains of my sense of humor, to the madcap marketing scheme that started the avalanche. Please understand me: I love this forum, and I have gained many friends from it. I am not one to be run off...but, guys, I have been really busy. When this incredibly stupid thread hit I had absolutely no way to respond...until now. I think Conrad did a great job of responding in my stead--he knew I was "out of comms", but the various people above who said that a response from me was necessary are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, it was impossible for me to do so until today. So I have responded. I don't think any of you are likely to kill me, and for damn sure you can't eat me.
As always, I do appreciate the kind words from so many of my friends...and for the rest, if you don't like my stuff, don't read it and don't watch it! Just go do it yourself.
Cheers, Craig

Did you actually read all of Conrad's replies?? Some were deleted. It is a fair point to say the thread was stupid, but Conrad's immature bullshit did you no favors.

craig boddingtonI said I was out of communications, so how in the world would I have read the stuff that was deleted? I have absolutely no clue...but, on the other hand, I do know my buddy has a temper (next convention, remind me to tell you about the time he blew his cork on a goat hunt in BC), but I also don't know exactly what set him off! If he offended some of you, then I most sincerely apologize on his behalf...but, having been personally dogpiled on this forum what, dozens of times, while it's absolutely true that many of you didn't deserve it...my strong suspicion is that a few of you did!

craig boddingtonOooops, gotta correct a post above. It was Miss Donna's bear, not mine...I had hoped to be her backup, but didn't even get to be her gunbearer. I had the privilege of holding the boat off the rocks while she and her (female) guide stalked this thing. At 500 yards I finally figured out how big the bear was--Alisha Decker knew at more than a mile, helluva bear lady--so when they left the boat I knelt on the rocks, scared to even look up. (If the stalk got messed up, it was NOT going to be my fault!!) So, after making payments on this hunt for five freakin' years, I didn't see anything until after the first shot went off! Very much Donna's brown bear, genuine 10-footer to the quarter inch!

Temper or not I think Conrad's first post is worth reading. Is this the caliber of person with whom you want to entrust your "brand"?

Greetings.
Firstly, thanks to the folks who withheld judgement and showed respect to Craig Boddington. He's a great guy, friend, father, hunter and veteran. I was trying to do something nice for him by creating the indiegogo.com campaign and the subsequent website.
This is Conrad Evarts. A cameraman who you can Google and find out much of my professional background. Novel idea right? Instead of just gazing wet eyed into this clunky, outdated website populated by graybearded paranoids who don't realize the internet evolved. No, seriously this website sucks The fact that you nuts are on here gives me a great deal of insight into your mindset.
School is now in session. Let's start by taking our tinfoil hats off and putting our thinking caps on. Hopefully when we're done the paranoids here can get their nurse to administer their meds, put them to bed and unplug their computers and the rest of the haters can return to their bunkers to polish their 30,000 rounds of ammo.
I am real. I was trying to do something nice for someone I respect. Craig Boddington was not terribly savvy on my effort because he spends all his time in the boonies but trusted me to try and make this work.
More importantly, outside of your antiquated worlds crowd funding sites like
www.indiegogo.com and
www.kickstarter.com are very acceptable ways to raise money for business endeavors. There are many for profit businesses using them. These include everything from musicians and movie studios to bakeries and websites.
Set down your tattered Jack O'Connor bible, get in a friggin' time machine and blast yourself to 2013. All sorts of businesses are using crowd funding. It's not strange at all.
So, in conclusion:
-I am real. Google me.
-This was not a scam and is totally normal these days.
-Craig Boddington was not entirely savvy because he is of your generation. This was not his fault and besides that if it wasn't for you crusty old haters this would be totally cool and worked and created something great for a new generation of hunters.
-Craig Boddington did not take a vow of poverty to be who he is. If someone like me can help him raise money to create a site that would only be judged by a total commie.
If you don't like the idea of me raising funds to put together a totally positive and interesting website as a favor to a friend you don't have to contribute to it.
Craig asked me to disable the campaign. I did so out of respect for him not to placate you blood sucking, paranoid savages. You haters are pathetic.
And "Lonestar 2075"...Tim, I know who you are. You know who I am. I've been to your crappy little shop in Texas to repair an episode your operation screwed the pooch on years ago. You're a coward and an embarrassment. Grow a pair and put your name up.
Finally, I've stepped in the ring with you ladies now. Go warm up a stack of Hot Pockets and get your mommy to ice down your 12 pack of Mountain Dew because I don't tangle on the internet often but when I do, it isn't pretty.
Thanks again to everyone who showed respect to Craig. I meant what I said, I spent a great deal of time with him in the field. I respect him and he's a good person.
Sincerely,
Conrad Evarts (proud friend of Craig Boddington)
Jason

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry

I am not much on hero worship as they all have clay feet. But the out pouring of love for CB is a bit over the top. He is a good , a good journalist, a good pitch man.. However, this clown he has with him presented himself as a person I want want nothing to do with. I feel a disconnect between what this is doing and saying and the CB that we see on TV, at shows and in his articles. CB can have his back all he wants, but this guy sullied CB's reputation in a very weak money grab then fired salvos at the audience that supports CB. I would have made it very clear that the words typed by this nut case were not my own and would have been a little more bold in apologizing. Deleting his rant/posts was a bit much as well.
I will still watch. CB on TV but will be thinking of the fool behind the camera .

Woodrow SI have never read any of CB's books, but have seen many of his shows and he ALWAYS sheds a positive light on the hunting and shooting industry. Yes, I can do without his pandering to the sponsors/advertisers, but that is who for the most part funds much of the cost's for these shows....so sometimes you take the good with the bad. You have that in every aspect of life. A good example would be your hunting magazines...just look at the bullshit advertising in there that take up pages of what could be good reading material. At any rate, when so many entities are trying to make hunting/shooting look sinister and take it away, WHY would any sane man want to step on the very people trying to keep it alive? THAT is the definition of stupidity. If you want this sport to survive, we all had better learn to stick together better than this 13 page example. CB is trying to be part of the solution folks. Thank you Craig for posting here.

Woodrow,
I appreciate your perspective but I am not so sure CB is part of the solution. When you rep so many products, sell books or DVD's or TV shows or dirty hunting clothes - you making money off the people who are the true participants and true solution. CB is a good guy, but this entire thread started because his buddy tried to make a buck or two off of us - the hunting public. He did in despicable manner, then resorted to insulting all of us.
CB is a good guy, but when his daughter shot a tracker, where did he go to get help for the bills he was on the hook for? Us. He sold a double rifle made by the California Rigby people that he was involved with. He sold a hunt that was donated by one of the outfits he had hunted with to "raise" money.
I have no issue with CB. He is a good guy. I have an issue with he or his buddies coming to the hunting public for money at every turn. He has endorsed Swarovski, Trijicon, Swift A-Frames, some shooting sticks, Dakota rifles, fancy flashlights, various hunting outfits and agents and whatever. Who pays for that? You and I do when we buy those products. Is this common practice for celebrities? Sure it is. However, with it goes a level of scrutiny and lack of privacy. When your camera man starts begging the public for money for a website or to sell dirty clothes - give me a break! That speaks volumes about what is being sold...
CB is a good guy, does a lot to promote hunting - but does a lot to promote CB too.
