fairgameThe Honda roars
The last few safaris I have had constant shit from Lions breaking into my trophy shed. They are able to break the hardened strands of barbed wire and tear apart the hardwood poles. I have positioned my quarters next to the trophy shed so I can keep an eye on what goes on. One night the bloody Lion mistook my house for the trophy shed and started tearing at the fence.
My son's Honda 650 was lying idle in camp so I parked it in my sleeping quarters. Having removed the exhaust baffle I would start it up and give it a roar of it's own which seemed to do the trick. I think the Lions were quite impressed.

Milo ShanghaiGood job the Honda was a 650 trials and not a Super Cub.

Obviously not using enough salt, especially the armpit and groin area.

cjfosterWould hooking up a electric fence charger to the wire around your trohpy shed deter the lions?

Right now Andrews probably wishing they would go back to the trophy shed & leave his sleeping quarters alone.

SkylineAs long as you keep the batteries charged up the electric fencers work pretty good on keeping grizzlies and polar bears away from the skinning shacks/meat houses in the north…….. most of the time.
Probably work okay on cats, but Andrews quarters there…… just a little hop for those wee kitties to bypass the fence entirely.
