NORTH FORK BULLET EXPERIENCE

Please note that the Woodleigh are Steel Jacketed with guilding metal cover. A steady diet of steel on steel is not good.
Sincerely,

Are not Hornadys the same????

I think Hornady are just brass with some lead squished into the base.

Don,

the blue "necrotic area" is just from tissue damage as the bullet blew through the large intestine. The elephant was just dead a few minutes when I took the photo. A FN would do even better. We were able to follow the bullet path of North Forks through the skull on all three shots. Nice big round hole each time.

Will post a picture of that when I get a minute.

I just checked some Hornady solids in 375 and 458. They do not react to a magnet while Woodleighs do. I guess that means the Hornady solids no longer have steel liners.

RIP,

"Texas Brain Shot," I like that!

You can deffinately use the NF Flat Nose on Elephant from any angle.

I have "been there and done that."

My PH, Myles McCallum was instructing me where to shoot for maximum bone penetration path and the NF did it. All 3 into lungs,
