EnglandThe remarkable Anne Whittall
The Save Valley Conservancy just posted this YouTube video about Anne Whittall and her care of orphaned and injured animals from the conservancy. Only 3 1/2 minutes and well worth a view.

MARK H. YOUNGGreat video. I have a pic in Whittal's garden with Jimmie's head on my belly. I thought it a special experience. How many folks can say they petted a wild black rhino?

Bama15She is a remarkable woman, the love she has for animals shows her tender heart. I have also seen pics of her carrying guns during the war for protection. She is special.

Bill/OregonLovely creatures -- the Whittalls.
By the way, if you should wish to be further astonished and charmed by rhinos, there is an instagram poster, rhino_is life__ well worth seeking out.

safari-lawyerSpent a few hours in the Whittals' home in late 2020 and met Rocky, their more recent orphaned rhino. Quite a good afternoon.

I recall following the Jimmie the Rhino story here on AR many, many years ago. Had the chance to rub a wild rhino's head in the Bubye Valley Conservancy a few years back. Blondie Leatham had two in a holding pen and they had big bottles of milk, like the ones to feed cows, to feed them with. Cool experience! And then the huge semi-tame sounders of warthogs running all over the yard. . . . . .
