So sorry, muti = medecin, witch doctor stuff. And it was an ex SA bloke who now resides in the land of Aus, who so rudely started the topic with no explaination. We can excuse him as can be seen the Aus is rubbing off onto him. I will probably be picked on for this.

Not sure if it would work with Africans though they are very superstitious in general.

Muti or whatever it is called in New Guinea does or used to work. One person I know, had his house broken into repeatedly in Port Moresby. Then he hung various charms and curses on his verandah and was not broken into again.

But I think the money angle might overcome black muti when it comes to Poachers.
