urdubobRelic from East African Professional Hunters assoc
Hi, I have ended up with a pin badge that is supposed to be a late 30's membership badge for the "East African Professional Hunters Association".
1)Have any of you ever seen anything like this?
2)What did the logo look like?
(mine looks like an elephant in front of a palm tree with a mountan in the horizion)
3) Do any off you know anyone who collects things like this so I can get more info.
Thanks
jay

shakariBob,
It sounds like the real thing, although I have no idea of value (if any).
However I do have a good friend who used to be a life member of EAPHA (the remnants of which is now IPHA) and if you would like to send me a scanned image of the badge by e-mail, we can maybe try to work something out........I'd love to give it to him as a present.
I'm away for a while after tomorrow, so please forgive any delay.

shakariYup, looks like the real thing......You don't have an e-mail address on your profile, perhaps you could e-mail me and we can discuss it further........thanks

urdubobThanks for all the offers. What I am trying to do is find out if anymore are out there... and how much it is worth?
I don't plan to sell it at this time. It will be displayed with my English made rifles.
Thak for the interest,
Jay

HarryBeats me...it is from an assoc. that is no longer alive. I have a paperweight that is the same thing except it was sold years ago by Trophy Room books or someone and made you an Honaorary Associate Member...was used as a fund raiser for something I now have forgotten. There were some limited number of the paperweights made.
The paperweight was $150 as I recall.
When and if you decide to sell...I would like a chance to buy it. I would give $5 just to watch a monkey hump a football! For an elephant pin I might go $7.50!!!
