DoubleDonI put my 2 rifles in Red Oxx gun slips, then lash them down in a 2 rifle Americase. Works like a champ.

MARK H. YOUNGI've had my ICC case 17 years and it looks like rodents have been chewing on it but it works perfectly and my guns have never been harmed.

David CulpepperI have a couple of different hard cases and it depends on how many rifles I am taking as to which I use. If 2 or more guns I use my Boyt case as it has wheels which makes it easier getting thru the airports.
Good Hunting,
Tuff-Pak for long rifles, Pelican 1650 for breakdowns.

Larry SellersPlus 1 for Tuff Pak, others are just not up to the level of the TP.

MikeBurkeThis will be my first trip with a Tuffpak for the bolt guns. My double will travel in a Storm Case.

Adrian ParhamI've had a case from ICC for a really long time and never needed another.
After my first African hunt in 91 the brackets that the hasp of the lock goes thru to secure the full length locking rod were bent. I simply bent them back but figured they would become weak or break if this continued. So I called ICC and the guy on the other end said that had not been a problem but sent me several brackets and a small bag of rivets. Eighteen years later the brackets are unused and the rivets still in the bag. (NO CHARGE)
My hunting buddy uses a Kalispel made in Montana by the Kalispel indians and it is almost identical and also well made.
Being very loyal to those who offer good product support I will buy ICC if another is ever needed.
Adrian
Ditto on the Zeigel.
Not so Americase.

butchloci really like a 2 gun take down case. doubles break down and solt actions just take out the guard screws and take them apart. the case is only 36" long and packs inside a duffel. nobody knows there are guns inside and i've yet to have any damage or pilfering.

dogcatPelican 1750 is the best and most durable I have used. The aluminum ones dent and bend too easy.

studdogMy Pelican 2 gun case has wheels. Not to bad even for an old fart to lug around. I sold my Tuffpak. Too much trouble to Pack and repack. U.S.Customs also expressed a dislike for the extra handling required.

I took my rifle and shotgun to Africa in an Americase and had no problems! Well made, secure, heavy, hard for anyone to run off with!!!

Aaron RustI have some starlight products and they seem great... but not a long gun box... I think it would be heavy though.

vandyboyI have used my Bear Track case on my two safaris. Worked like a champ. I would not trust anything else to protect my guns.

N E 450 No2If I was not going to use a TuffPak, I would use a Pelican.
Before I got the Tuffpaks I used a ekican several times with no problems.

I have the Starlight 2 rifle full length model. I have been happy with it. I believe it weighs about 18 pounds.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
