jdollaronce the buff slipped on the asphalt and fell, it was all over. I was told by a game ranger that lions in Kruger actually chase giraffe onto the tar roads, knowing their hooves will slip, causing them to fall and be more vulnerable.

They aren't stupid. Wolves do the same thing with deer and moose....... chase them out on frozen lakes in the winter. They wipe out on the ice and it is all over. Have watched them do it a time or two.
