Loads for 9.3x62.
I just got se up for reloading this weekend, but I need load data for my 9.3 the only thing I could find was in the Speer manual. It just gave the data for their bullet I'm reloading Nosler not speer; and their velocity seemed kind of slow or weak. Any Help. Thanks

Try www.nosler.com

They have load data online for thier bullets.

There is data for the 9.3 x 62 as well as many other calibers right here in this forum... Have you checked that out?

Thanks for the Nosler site. I can not get into the reloading forum though.

Ray Thanks for your pet load info I copied them down. Have you killed much with a 9.3?

Paliohunter,
I have shot a number of Buffalo and plainsgame with the 9,3x62 and a a few less with the 9.3x64...Both seem to kill about like a 375 H&H, no difference at all in the field. the 9.3x62 may just be my favorite all time rifle, the 9.3x64 being a little MORE of the same, but perhaps besting the old 375 for the all around versatality title.....Maybe?

Ray would you then consider the 9.3x62 a DGR?

Absolutly, but not as good a DGR as a 40 cal. but as good as a 375 which I also consider a DGR...

Sitting here smiling with my now 15h old 9,3x62 barrel on my Tikka

I will load some Norma Oryx 231gr, Lapua Mega 286gr and Barnes X 250gr with N540 and go to the range tomorrow. I think N540 might be the best highpower powder for the 9,3x62. Dont have any N550 at hand. AKI

I have tried and used the following:-

Nosler 286gr partition - 55gr N140, seated to cannelure, LAPUA brass - 2,200fps

Speer 270gr SP - 58gr N140 seated short, LAPUA brass - 2,400fps

Norma 232gr Vulkan - 59gr N135 seated short, RWS brass- 2,575fps

All primers fed mag match as I was given 1,000.

All MOA or less and pleasant to shoot. Only used on deer to date so no field reports. I think H414 is supposed to be best for velocity.
