I have never been to the DCS convention before. My wife and I have attended SCI in the past. Which hotel in Dallas should we book at?

If you can manage a room at the Omni that would be best case scenario IMO...I'll be trying the Joule this year....looks nice and comes highly recommended.

I just made reservations through the DSC Convention site. Both the Omni (connected to the Convention Center) and the Aloft (across the street) are full. I stayed at the Magnolia last year and booked there again this year. It's 5-6 blocks away, but I though the accommodations were fine.

We always stay at the Magnolia. It's an easy walk or you can take the shuttle.

Can anyone share the price range for the hotel they mention? We are thinking about a first visit to the DSC also.

I booked at the HamptonInn and Suites last week. King suite was $149/night. It's .7 miles from the convention center and on the official shuttle route.

Good luck with this. The reservation issue was a big cluster this year. In years past (11 in a row for us), although we booked early, we never had an issue to get a room. This year, rooms were gone withing a couple of hours of release, not to mention the fact the DSC website crashed. Were it not for a friend of ours who lives there and involved with DSC helping us, we would have been SOL. DSC should reserve a LOT more rooms at the Omni from now on. My friend and his wife who also attend regularly, were unable to get a room at the Omni after about two hours of opening.

right now on booking.com I see

Magnolia - $438 (for two nights)
Adolphus - $387 (for two nights)
Joule - $436 (for two nights)

I've never been to DSC but am going this year because of the early dates. Booked the Magnolia with two queens for $300/night. I like that it includes breakfast.

You might try the DCS hotel booking site, I believe the room rates are cheaper then what you listed.

I have stayed at the Omni, Adolphus, & Magnolia. The Omni is certainly the most convenient, but usually sells out at special rates the first or second day. The Adolphus & Magnolia are only a block apart and easy shuttle ride to CC. The Magnolia includes breakfast in their price and I feel they are the best value of the three, so I am booked there this year.
