Gun case size restrictions on Northwest/KLM
Gun case size restrictions on Northwest/KLM
Has anyone heard of a new (withing the last 2 weeks) limitation that Northwest/KLM are putting on gun cases as checked baggage. Besides their size limitations I have heard rumors that they are not even allowing them as one of your 2 checked luggage pieces. Supposedly this is new and their web site has not been updated yet with this new policy.
Leaving in a month and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tuff Pak question. How do you pack your rifles. Do you slip your rifles into soft scabbords and then put them in to shake around? How do you guys prevent that. I suppose you could pack clothes around them, but that seems like a pain to have to pull everything apart for customs and then repack.
Also do you leave your scope on the guns or pack separate? Need advice please

I pack my guns in soft cases and stock up, clothes and others around in a tuff sack (leave it open in the top end) and when I show the rifles I only open the back part of the soft case and pull the guns out, when ready I slide them back again with no problems.

Thanks, you mention Tuff sack, is that different than a saddle bag.

GeronomoThe Tuff Sack is an inner nylon zippered sack which fits inside. When you want to pull just the guns out, you pull the sack out about half way, open the end and there are your guns. No need to shuffle things around inside.
