Does anyone know of a shop that can custom make a high quality brief case, belt, etc. out of customer supplied elephant hide?
Any leads will be much appreciated.

Russ GouldTaxidermy enterprises in Harare...they do a great job for not a lot of money. I have seen their brief cases and belts. Also do a soft gun case that's really durable. And women's hand bags etc etc.

Die Ou JagterI had Loveless in Oklahoma City make me boots from my Buffalo and Zebra. I am having them make me another pair from just Buffalo and I know they make Breifcases or Attache' Cases.

Matt NormanI had Dick Murray make me a belt and a sling and they are both first rate. (Too bad I was in 'skinny' mode when I had him make the belt and since then been in normal blubber mode). Also had him make an ammo pouch to my specs that was as good as it gets. Money well spent.
Had some Russell PH II's made that were a major disappointment. I'd even drove to Berlin Wisconsin to be fitted. Turned out to be real blister machines and started falling apart after my first hunt with them. Sent them back twice and ended up throwing them away.
By word of mouth I found a retired school teacher that had taken up leather working in retirement. Had him make me a wallet and it was outstanding. Since he was in his mid 70's I promptly had him make me another just like it as an eventual replacement. Ten years later the first one is on it's last legs and in another year I'll have to retire it. The elephant leather isn't wearing out...the lacing is.
You will find that elephant leather wears like iron. However, everything other than the ears is very heavy.
