odieTSA Limits Big-Bore Ammunition
not sure if this has been posted earlier, apologies if so.
The TSA in their infinite wisdom has decided that Department of Transportation regulations for "hazardous materials" include rifle and pistol ammunition over .50 caliber and as such cannot be transported in airline passengers checked baggage.
In some cases travelers have had their ammunition confiscated at the airport.
