Your Best Advice for an African Hunter
Experience your own hunt. Videos and TV shows are no preparation for what you will experience.

(I'll add this : KNOW where to aim for shots under 50 yards!)

Andrew;

Steve is going to join SCI and go to the Convention in Reno and do his research first hand!! Sorry Steve, just couldn't resist.

On topic. Enjoy the planning and anticipation, it's almost as much fun as the trip will be. Attitude is everything so leave all the negatives behind when you board the plane and enjoy each and every part of your safari.

Research every facet of the hunt as much as humanly possible before booking and at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
