Gerhard.DelportLions poached this weekend in South Africa
Two white lione females were poisoned near Stockpoort.
Heads and paws cut off..
Then a male and female were shot between Thabazimbi and Warmbaths
Only the male's head and paws cut off.
Female was not cut
Then a possible 5th in the Groblersdal area from info received...
Possible Muti killings...

That just seems horrific & wasteful of life, were they killed in they pens/paddocks & what size weapon, do you know !
What the Hell would they be doing with those parts, a White Lions skull will look the same as any other ?
Is there some strange other motive to this ?
The value of South African lions is going down fast as seen in the hunt advertisements on this site. It's a shame and if USF&W doesn't change their stance on importation, the value of wild lions is likely to follow. A waste.

The heads and front paws are most probably used as traditional medicine (MUTI) in Africa.
