Unlike Muslims and others using the Gregorian calendar to accommodate the Western world, Ethiopia follows the Julian version and Orthodox Christian schedule kinda sorta. Time of day is Jewish, like in the Bible. (They have thirteen months of sunshine -- twelve 30-day months with a small one, Pagumay, to end the year having the leftover days plus another for leap year.) No, I never did catch on since I was headed for America anyhow.
