Back from My turn
Back from Mof Venter's Adansonia Safaris RSA. His operation has no problem with someone of limited mobility. I tire very easily, since my accident and his people did their very best to accomodate me. I had an awesome time.

I need to do a trip report still. Here are some pictures while I work on it.

Mof and Myself.

My Duiker

My Impala

My Gemsbok

My Kudu

My wife got the trip for me at an SCI Lowcountry auction. Eight friends joined me on this safari. Mof handled our group of nine with no problem at all. It was an incredible experience.

I bought a new watch while I was there. I will look at it every day waiting for it to tell me it's time to go back.

Congrats on some fine trophies... standing next to your PH, I see where you get your "alias"!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...

Lovely trophies ... and wonderful memories. Congratulations are in order!

Glad you had a great time. Only problem is that this whole thing is addictive. Hope your PSD (post safari depression) is mild ;>Wink

Congratulations on a great bag and a great safari.

Your photos are very well done - nice use of the skyline.

Seeing your trophies, I am beginning to think I might like bowhunting. God help me get over this, please! Big Grin

Glad you had a good trip. Mof and his wife Minnie are real good people.

You are a big guy, you make Mof look a bit small.

Thanks for the congratulations.

Those who know Mof know he's a former rugby player. He certainly wasn't used to looking up to anyone. I'm a former power forward for Auburn University.

The biggest bonus bowhunting waterholes is you can bring a good camera with a telephoto lenses on it in the blind with you. I set up the camera on a tripod in the blind and both my PH and myself had a great time snapping some quality photos.

My PH loved using the tripod in the blind so much, I left it with him. It's definately one of the harder to get items over there. Plus, since I had my laptop with me, I burned him copies of our pictures for the trip before I left. It definately helped he was very familar with the camera before he took any trophy photos. All of Mof's PHs were decent photographers but familiarity with the equipment really helps. Since the Canon S3 IS also takes nice video shorts, I got a few of those as well.

Congrats on a great hunt!
I really like that Duiker photo!
I'll bet it seemed like a small target compared to the Kudu.
