After reading some of the comments here and looking at the pictures, I´m getting a bit concerned that my outfitter/PH have guided me to a rather young Nyala buck.

This was fenced area (approx 10000 hektares) and the Nyala was inntroduced some years ago.

He stated that the Nyala in the northern part of Limpopo tend to have shorter, but thicker horns than farther north east?

Never the less, it was an exiting stalk in the bushveldt and I´m pretty well pleased.
I didn´t go to RSA for making record book entries, but for great hunting, and that I got for sure Wink

I'm not the one to judge, Arild, but it's still a very beautiful animal! And it's all in the hunt isn't it!? Smiler

Beautiful bushbuck at the bottom of your post, btw!

Thank you Anders, yes it´s all in the hunt.

These are my two spiral horns so far, Eland and Kudu in 2011 if the powers allow me to... Smiler

How big was that bushbuck?
Something special with the spiral horns!
I've got two kudus (southern greater and cape) and cape bushbuck.
I will continue to hunt specifically for the spirals. Smiler

I'm not really the one to judge as I have limited experience with Nyala but I still think your bull is magnificent. thumb
