African hunting magazines?

I went to the Dallas Safari Convention and had a really good time. There were two African magazine publishers there (African Hunter and African Sporting Gazette?). I got a subscription to both of the publishers in the main hall near the upper deck snack area. Neither one has billed my credit card. I did get a fraudulent activity alert on the credit card but, it was for an unrelated issue.

When should I expect to see my credit card charged? Hind sight being 20/20, I probably should have purchased some back issues to take home but for reasons that escape me, I must have thought saving $5 an issue was a good deal ...

What African hunting magazines should I consider subscribing to? Considering the time and expense involved, I need to become smarter and better informed. The two magazines I started with seemed to be getting feedback in hallway chatter but, I may be missing some jewels that don't have the budget to travel to North America to sell a few subscriptions.

I should also note that I have been a past subscriber to Sports Afield and renewed at the DSC.

good luck on receiving the issues you paid for of African Hunter. You are certainly going to need it( unless you don't mind getting 4-5 issues a year instead of 6 and don't mind getting them anywhere from 6 weeks to 3-4 months apart). do a search on this forum for feedback about Af. Hunter. enough said. it is a great magazine when( or more properly if) it arrives.

I recently chased up a missing subscription with African Hunter and 'editor-ant' who posts on here was very helpful. Give Miranda in their office an email and she will help out.

One magazine that I have had no problems with is African Outfitter.
