ErikDI'm amazed over how dumb some of these PETA idiots are.
How about this stupid PETA comment:
"Hunting is for impotent men (from all the red meat they have eaten) shooting at animals in a way to make them feel like they have ejaculated and are whole again. Put down the burger, grab a carrot and feel like a REAL man again."
Hmm. I hunt and I eat lots of red meat. But I have a baby daughter (and it wasn't an imaculate conception!

). Guess their impotence theory doesn't float...

tradewindsBison hunt cancelled
By JENNIFER McKEE State Bureau - 01/10/2005
HELENA - The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission voted 4-1 today to cancel a controversial bison hunt.
The commission also unanimously agreed to refund all the money people paid to apply for a bison permit.
All the commissioners said they were determined to have a bison hunt this fall and would work to design a free chase bison hunt better than the shortened, confined hunt envisioned for this year.
The hunt was to begin Saturday and would have ended Feb. 15. Ten permits were to be drawn for the opportunity to hunt on a 25,000-acre parcel north of the park.
Agency scientists told the commission that although the parcel was relatively large, all the bison available for the hunt were concentrated in two small areas.
Commissioner Tim Mulligan, of Whitehall, said he was afraid the current situation - with an abbreviated time frame and concentrated animals - would see hunters shooting large, unmoving animals at close range.
That, he said, would do more to hurt future bison hunting in Montana than canceling the hunt altogether and designing a better hunt for next year.
‘'I think rather than a good start, this would be a quick end,‘‘ he said, adding that protesters and media would further damage the bison hunting experience.
Commission Chairman Steve Doherty, of Great Falls, joined by Mulligan, Victor Workman, of Whitefish, and Shane Colton, of Billings, voted to cancel the hunt.
Only Comissioner John Brenden, of Scobey, voted to continue it.
