SaeedBuffalo Hunting Videos And Photos To Enjoy
Buffalo CAN absorb a lot of lead - we had one shot this year by one of our hunters, which took 12 rounds from him and his PH to put down.
It all boils down to good bullet placement with the first round.
And sometimes all the best laid plans go south.
Buffalo number three was shot in the shoulders with the first round - later we found one shoulder was completely pulverized and made into a sort of bloody pulb!
He just hobbled a few steps and stood looking at us. I am sure if we had come any closer he would have charged us.
Of course, another one in the head put any chance of a charge to bed.

Tim CarneySaeed,
No better illustration of the need for good placement of the first round than in your video of buffalo number eight. Nicely done.
Regards, Tim

The past couple of years Roy carried his son's 450 Ackley, which he had built for him.
Normally he carries either a 460 Weatherby or a 416 Weatherby.
On a couple of occasions he carried a 585 Nyati he built himself.
