Aren't they cute! Everyone knows elephants won't hurt you as long as you are only taking pictures. Right? The greenies and I are right, right?

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

How could the camp operators allow that to happen? Was no one watching the elephants approach?

Crazy.

Not much the diners could do but sit still and tighten their sphincters.

That situation could have easily gone 99 ways of sideways.

Its what the Greenies firmly believe in: "interacting with animals".

I would have felt no sympathy if things had gone ape-shit in that situation, especially considering there was a youngster in the group and might (I say might) have been an eye-opener for some.

I'm betting 10-1 there were numerous "brown rings" churning out "sixpences and half crowns" that moment. Big Grin
