shakariI don't know why they don't just let all these orientals just farm the damn rhinos in their own countries so they have no need to poach them.
(IMO) It's gotta be the logical answer.
With a bit of that clever genetic engineering shit, they could probably even produce rhinos with umpteen and/or faster growing horns.

Hell...I'd be for donating them a small breeding herd of whites to help them get started even.

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.
From the article: "In the last six months at least 124 rhinos have been poached in South Africa, a vast increase on the 122 killed over the duration of 2009, according to SA National Parks."
And the 2009 # was a huge increase from prior years.

Kamo GariI only got as far as the first sentence. I don't consider any media source that has gross errors in their copy worth reading.
The word they were after is 'grisly', not 'grizzly'.

I'm surprised they are not doing it already.

NakihunterI would suggest mixing antidepressants and relaxants with the stuff and selling into the markets. This goes for tiger bone as well. All the people who take it will become virtually impotent and find that that they are worse off!
Castrate the buggers!

They are with tigers. Of course, tigers have a much higher reproduction rate but conversely, rhino horn grows back and you don't have to kill the beastie. Sounds like a win-win situation.
Another idea, that I had years ago, would be to get a bunch of male kids (goat type!) and transplant the horn buttons from the sides of their heads to the center. Voila' Instant unicorn. BTW, this actually works. All you'd have to do is ship the skulls to China after butchering for the Mexican/Philippine trade and you'd be upping your profit margin enormously.
