Guys,

Just returned from my first (and probably only) safari. Last year I posted asking for advice regarding where to go, what to bring, reloading tips, and for verification that the PH Buzz at CM Safaris was pairing me with was a solid fellow.

All the tips and advice turned out to be hugely helpful

I hunted a short 7-day Buff hunt in Mozambique (although booked through CM, it was at a camp of Safari De Mozambique)

-I was lucky in being paired with Dean Kendall, who is a superlative PH (it may be my first safari, but I've been guided many a time)

-I was lucky to take a Dugga boy with one shot and he didn't go but 25 yards after the shot.

Thanks again to everyone that took time out of their day to help a first timer.

It was very emotional to finally get to do what I have been daydreaming about since the age of about 12!

Saeed, he mentioned that he has hunted with you a bit and had very nice things to say about you and your friends. He asked why I chose Barnes X bullets over Aframes, I told him that you had PM'd me to say mon0s are your personal choice. He said due to the number of buff you've taken, I was wise to take your advice!

Dean is a good guy. I haven't hunted with him but I have been in camp with him a few times.

And of course, you can't go wrong with CMS. I'm going back with them in October.

I can't image a better buffalo bullet than the Barnes X.

Congrats on a successful hunt but you know the saying, if you don't have photos, it didn't happen!!! LOL
