PWN375He is very modest and soft spoken for a PH. He is a good guy and a very good PH, especially for leopard. In 2003 he hunted my stepdad and a good friend and delivered a leopard under difficult circumstances in a very short time and a good assortment of plains game. At that time Don Heath thought he was one of the best young PHs for leopard. During that hunt, Wayne had a tracker named Magara(sp) who was the most westernized black bush native I have ever met. He was very intelligent and interacted with clients easily. He did not display the shyness, lack of social skills and habits of most black trackers. I thought he would make a great PH if he ever wanted to pursue that line of work. They were a very good team. However, 5 years in Africa can be a very long time and for all I know now Wayne may be a falling down drunk and a complete wanker...but I doubt it.

zimbabweWayne was my first PH over 10 years ago and I have known him and his family well for all the time since. He is consistently a hard working PH and tries hard to supply the client with the best possible trophy. He is pleasant to be with and a very knowledgable hunter on Leopard. His brother Shane is also a good PH as is his cousin Theo Bronkhorst. He and Shane are two excellant shots also. You will be well served with him as your PH.

Die Ou JagterNever hunted with Wayne but shared a camp in 05. His hunter got his leopard the first night in the hide. I had seen Wayne on videos many years before and was impressed with him from the videos even as an appy. I enjoyed my time with him in camp and wished he had been my PH. I am sure you will have a good hunt. Where are you hunting with him? I had to come back to this as the other hunter in camp and I met in the Joberg airport and as it was his first hunt in Africa I helped him thru the ropes going into RSA and Zim.. He took his leopard the first night in the hide which was also his first day of hunting in africa. It just wasn't fair

It took me 4 trips before I got my leopard (two years later). I do feel a bit sorry for him as he will never understand the true value of his leopard.

zimbabweIf you are going to be staying on Dollar you will be in one of the prettiest camps I've been in. I have spent much time at Dollar as Shane (Waynes brother) used to manage it. It was an Ostrich operation raising ostrich chicks. Game is abundent and it is a lovely camp on a bluff overlooking an area they once bred lions in (no hunting). Very nice Kudu,Eland,Tsessebe and other plains game including Wildebeest. You will not be disappointed. Have not been there in a couple of years but cannot have changed very much I would hope.

GanyanaDollar still offers good plainsgame and leopard hunting. There is a stage 2 lion release project there as well NB- No the lions are not for hunting and are in a seperate fenced off area. New manager is going a good job.

zimbabweThere are some nice though not record Sable on Dollar. In fact I assisted in the release of several from a program in the Gweru area where someone was trying to raise them when his farm was confiscated. There used to be many Warthog and the Spanish hunters took particular delight in hunting them. I shot the largest Duiker I have shot on Dollar and saw some nice Grysbok there also.

zimbabweNot to say they aren't nice they are just not in the same league as the ones found in the Matetsi and Doma areas. Of course that's just in my personal opinion and that's worth whatever you place on it. You will NOT be disappointed in the DollarBlock. Wish you luck on everything you want.

Wayne was my PH in 2004, he is a very proficent gentleman and a pleasure to hunt with. We took a nice 40" buffalo and 7 fine plains game animals. Enjoy your hunt
