StormsGSPProblem/Help shipping gun
Need a little help here, although its not Africa related, I figure you guys may be the most helpful.
I am studying in New Zealand for the semester. I want to do some hunting while I am here, but couldn't bring it over when I first came. I have my gun license here, and a place to store it, so I am ok to get a gun shipped to me on the New Zealand end. I contacted the ATF to see how I should have the gun shipped over to me, as I don't want any complications when I try to bring the gun back into the country. I was expecting there would be a form to fill out, etc. ATF referred me to a Department on exporting. Now I am being told that I have to pay a $2000+ export fee and it takes months. Yada yada yada a lot of bullshit.
So, can anyone help me. What I should do, people to contact.
Thanks in advance.

Tim CarneyForget about shipping it.
If you know someone coming, ask them to bring it, but first check with New Zealand authorities to get the right firearms permit when you meet the traveler...

GrumulkinWhen you bring the gun back to the U.S.A., you will also have to have a U.S. Customs form 4457 with you to prove you are the owner of the gun.
