Mr. Banda managed to clobber 29 animals over a 7 day safari in the Lunga Luswishi GMA. Included was 4 Sable and a small herd of Puku amongst Bushbuck, Warthog and a host of lesser game.

Each animal was snared by the neck and then bludgeoned to death with a bit of hardwood. The more resilient animals were probably decapitated by axe.

The trophy shot was undoubtedly taken before he accidentally tripped getting out of the Land Cruiser and bumped his head in a couple of places and ended up a little black and blue. I hate it when that happens.

Here is a simple little tool that could work wonders in anti-poaching efforts. It would be very cost effective and would take teams of only three men to administer. (a fourth man may be required if you're dealing with a real bearcat). Two men with firm grips, one on each leg of the poacher, and one other to administer the 'medicine'. After the simple procedure the poacher could be released, relatively unharmed, to spread the word.

What a terrible waste!

And, when asked to comment, a spokesman from the United Nations and another from the US Fish & Wildlife Service agreed that, ".....in a more global sense, the greatest threat to African wildlife today is the American sport hunter......."

The really pathetic thing is that if you posted that story and pic as-is on facebook, people would actually think you were serious.

Regardless, they are masters in that domain! I mean, an average of 4+ wild animals per day using rudimentary weapons? When the human race is facing extinction on this planet, people like him will be the last survivors!
