Bongo -- too pretty.
Most dangerous game -- too much money.
Porcupine, hyena, civet, honey badger, ...

[Moot point, really. I haven't shot enough kudu and bushbuck yet.] No problem with anyone's list,...

2 cents

.

Females of all mammal species - unless sick or injured.

I have successfully hunted ostrich and giraffe - no go's on a lot of lists by the looks of it. Ostrich was a great hunt and makes a wonderful mount! Giraffe a very tough hunt, a .470 double and meat to the community and a HUGE mount that needs a home still!

Don't think I would hunt / shoot a spring hare or an ant bear.

For me is 'Rhino'!, no wild action is available anywhere and hell of a cost to pay in ranch raised animal! Even you have to pay DOTTING cost just for photos!....

I am a tough client for DSC shows to sell hunts too. Am a boring plains game guy.

As for Jason P, who doesn't like ducks and geese, I wasn't surprised to see you're from Utah. Most of the Utahans I know don't like waterfowl. Must be a Utard thing Wink. I took a buddy from Richfield duck hunting out here in California about 8 years ago and he discovered how good ducks are to eat, besides being damn good fun to hunt. He and another buddy from Dallas have made it into an annual event. They'll be here next week for a 3 day hunt...

And they'll take home every duck and goose we shoot!

Maybe you are right. Being as you are from Kalifornia, your mind may be so warped from living there, you may
have convinced yourself that they are good Smiler

In all seriousness, I am sure they taste a lot better than the ones here. I love to hunt them and have a lot of opportunity where I live. However, I have scaled back on shooting them (unless somebody wants to take them).

On mine: none. However, on my wife's list of what she will let me shoot, lots.

Lions in cages
Grizzly bears in the head at 500 yards
Elk at a 1000
Or Klipspringer at 600 yards in a 16 MPH wind

Very interesting thread here. Nothing is really on my "dont shoot list". That being said, i dont care to shoot anything with a rifle anymore.

Haven't posted anything on here for years but read ever topic at least once a week. Very interesting topic and had to reply...I wouldn't shoot an elephant. I love reading historical accounts and love reading and watching modern day accounts. I just feel like I haven't personally earned the privilege (not to mention it's out of my budget). -absolutely nothing against those that do. I hunted springhares at night with dogs, locals, and sticks and had the time of my life; my face hurt the next day from laughing and smiling too hard. Didn't want to shoot a baboon (I'm an anthropologist) but did under guides orders as they had been ripping insulation and wiring out of the heavy equipment. No giraffe and no ostrich. Once again nothing against those that do, I would just personally pass. Hell, I shot an aardvark as the workers considered it a delicacy (smelled like a sack of onions). I don't get the "no bears" comments??? I shoot and eat them and most people I know consider them vermin; there's a ton of them and just another predator eating the deer and elk. People are commenting that coyotes are fine but bears aren't?? Bear tastes good and I don't know a single person that eats coyotes. Is there a Winny-the-Pooh mentality out there from African hunters?
