Jason PI may have broke a world record for dip and pack!
I may have broke a world record for the longest communication gap between a client and a dip and pack company.
I hunted RSA for the first time in the Summer of 2011. On this trip I shot a baboon. I had multiple issues with the dip and pack company. I did finally receive most of my animals (some in bad condition). However, for one reason or another (I cannot remember specifics). I did not receive my baboon skull.
Well, fast forward to this morning, 2021, and I received the following email:
"Good Day:
We have paperwork and a crate with your Baboon skull in our office. Kindly let me know if you are still interested in the skull, or if we could return the crate"
In all fairness I guess, it could be a new company that is trying to clean up a mess. Who knows.
I do find it funny that its been sitting there for 10 years. Needless to say, I declined their kind offer....

rolankIt seems I can remember hearing or reading something that baboon skulls can be a problem for the rest of your animals if shipped in the same crate so maybe that's why it was by itself in another crate.

Did you read the post? It took TEN YEARS to get the skull!

FjoldThat's impressive Jason. Any time I start complaining about shipping times, I'll remember this post.

Kingsview SafarisNow that is impressive.
Sounds like they did a huge spring clean. I hope not to break your record but I may come close in trying to get my Axis and Blackbuck out of Texas. Nothing to do with the taxidermist or shipping companies, purely financial and undecided on my part.

You are probably right.
I do know one thing. If I ever do decide to hunt Africa again, all plains game I shoot will stay there. I realize that this may offend some people but good quality photos and memories will suffice. Now, if I ever decide to hunt buffalo or leopard, I will attempt to deal with the shipping company.
