EXPRESSWhere can you buy a lion skin rug?
A friend has just ask me to sell him my lion skin rug, which I would never, ever part with.
Can anyone suggest where to look for a lion skin rug? E-bay not sorprisingly turns up a lot of them, just they are stuffed toys.

Sometimes you see skins of lion and tiger plus other game and trophies come up at auctions.
Got to keep your eyes open for these sorts of auctions, locally one or twice a year on average.

SGraves155There are usually one or two real lion skin rugs on E-bay under Sporting Goods/Hunting/Taxidermy.
Express, do a search on Ebay under "African Taxidermy". There's usually a couple of them. They ain't cheap, though. There's one on there right now @ $2700.00

I have a tanned lion skin. You'd have to get the taxidrmist to mount the head and add the felt. $3500 and cheap at that!

...I have one taken in Botswana some years ago, and it's mounted on green felt. Will take $3000 plus shipping.

I've got a tanned skin from a maneless male I killed in 2003. I would sell for about 1/3 of Will's asking price(then I would use the money to kill something).

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Let's have a bidding war.

I'll start with a no reserve bid auction price of 5 cents for my skin.
Any takers?
Any body think I'm serious?
