MacD37Dangerous Safari
Well folks, I go on a real Safari tomorrow, Sept,3rd! This is to be a dangerous game Safari, but no rifle will be used, only a little knife! I hope it's control feed!
It seems I've been carrying around an
un-diognosed Cancer for about 15 years, and I go under the knife tomorrow at 8:45 CST. So I may not be around for some time!
Later kids, see ya at the campfire down the road, I hope!

Dago RedGod Bless you and the doctors, and may he guide their hands.
To give you a ray of sunshine, I very close friend of mine was diagnosed with class 4 cancer in tongue and neck, and 60% cancerous prostate. After surgery, chemo and radiation his prognosis was a 15% chance of making it to 5 years, and that didn't take into account the prostate cancer. It has been 5 years now.

low_techBest of Luck to you and your family!
After the surgery, be sure and take an active role in determining your treatment, research the lastest and greatest, treatments change monthly it seems and not all doctors keep abreast of the new stuff.
Just my experience.
God Bless

mstarlingMac,
As Jeff Cooper said ... "attitude is EVERYTHING! " (Lot's of other folks have said that too, I'm sure.)
Remember, you have to get well to get back to Africa and see the next buff through the sights!
Our little prayers will be with you.

I went on one of those safaris; it's been 19 years, and I don't want to go on another, ever. My doctor told me that attitude was very important. Keep a stout heart, we will be pulling for you.

Best of luck and Godspeed, my friend. As a cancer survivor myself, I agree that it IS about attitude and the will to do whatever it takes to win one day at a time!
