vapodogBlue or Black Wildebeest?...pics please...
Great thread.....I love the photos and the black wildebeest is a marvelous mount. I don't have either but I'd get a blue for a rug on a return trip. Add a zebra rug and a a few ostrich feathers and this house will look just fine!

Hey Vapodog,
I agree whole-heartedly with you!
Its turned out to be a really great thread!!!
Its wonderful to see that there are so many of our members here who have passionately set out to hunt these BEESTS...For some reason I've always felt a little weird as I've never seen or heard anyone passionately speak about them on the forum...The Wildebeest was always just featured below the other common game of the PLAINS...I'm glad to see we have a bunch of guys here who have posted and displayed their trophies with pure delight!
My fanatacism has only mushroomed to a full-on love affair for the BEESTY BOYZ...
Me and my boy have on the list...
SonKudu
Gemsbok
Impala
Springbok
Warthog
Hartmann's Zebra
MeKudu
Black Wildebeest
Blue Wildebeest
Red Hartebeest
My son changed his mind after we last spoke and he decided on the ELAND Bull for the next time around...
And maybe a Cape Buffalo for me in 2010...
We opted to hunt after 9 different species instead of taking 5 species of the same...
Since we hunt as a TEAM we believe this will give us a much broader view of the whole Plains Game experience!
We'll be on each others stalks when possible and even though the other will actually SQUEEZE the trigger the hunt will be as if either of us had shot it in essence...It was a decision that was quite easy for us to make a couple weeks back as we are a pretty tight-knit and it made more sense in our particular situation...
I believe we are pretty set, all we got to do now is relax and enjoy and see what SHE gives us...we look forward as many of you have... to EXPERIENCE her for the very first time...We hope that Africa herself will be engaging and challenging and tantalizing...
