Imagine My Dismay
Imagine My Dismay
I get the latest copy of African Hunter and flip through a couple pages and there is the Swainson's ad.
Again with the picture of Nickudu and his buffalo. Can I never get away from that photo?
I've seen that photo in more magazines/ads than photos of the Dixie Chicks.

Canuck470Mbogo and I watched your video last nite, Nick. A most excellent evening of entertainment. Got to fondle his new 470 as well. All in all a very good night!
Your video is very professionally done with a lot of excellent footage! That 505 is sure a beautiful and deadly rifle.
Cheers,
Canuck

NickuduCanuck,
Glad you liked it. Yes the .505 with the 570 grain "X" bullets is deadly, indeed, especially when you hit something!

Aspen Hill AdventuresCute, nice buffalo too!

NickuduMan, what a brutal hunt that was. 116 degrees everday and 100 at night, in the Zambesi Valley.
We were all exhausted when the merciful end came, with 4 days left. I recall other guests leaving nearly a week early. Can you imagine? Just too damn hot. October '99. Two good buffalo though. 104 and 110 SCI.
Nickudu,
Gee Whiz!
Here I point out you out for your 10 seconds of fame, and all I get is a disgusting reply! Not a self-portrait, I surmise!

Nice buffalo!

NickuduJamie,
- 2,325 fps. You can check out the full data on the AR Reloading Pages.
Will,
- I'm quite sick of it myself. You should take solice in the fact that I haven't chosen it as my "AR" signature photo! Just why Swainsons elected not use a 2002 pic, I do not know.

NickuduTonto,
That will be quite enough out of you, my friend! I'll have you know, the featured rifle is my dinky little .458 Lott, not my .505 and I deeply resemble your remark!

AtkinsonHaving studied this page for a number of hours, I came to the conclusion that is about the best buffalo I have ever seen and would pick him over many 50" bulls I have seen, man, what a helmet!! a real prize and I lust for one just like it...but the hunter is one ugly dude! and he is packing a fine rifle, albeit it simply has a funny stock of substances that toasters, can openers and such are made of...mores the shame,

Aspen Hill AdventuresNick, that guy looks very familiar. Who is it?
28 April 2003, 14:22
NickuduAnn, I'll give you a hint. He regularly has a booth at S.C.I. and will be bunking with Walter this fall in Tanzania
IF Walter promises to stop bathing in the skull boiling tub.

Man my heart goes out to you, but somebody had to be there and hunt in that weather.

LV EricI just read Rays post and looked at that pic for a while and that is one hell of a buffalo. It might be the best looking head ever all things considered.

NickuduI appreciate favorable comment from experienced hands very much, indeed. At 41" he's not bragging size but he is the best I've bumped into of my prefered configuration and I am well pleased.
