Mountain Zebra Permit?
I'd like to take a Mountain Zebra on my hunt in Namibia this May, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that Mountain Zebra is on the CITES list and requires a permit to bring it into the U.S. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Mountain zebra is a cites #2 permit animal. That permit is available from the country of origin and is taken care of it by the time of shipping and by the outfitter/P.H.

I shot a mountain zebra in Namibia last June. My PH did all of the paper work for export. I didn't have to lift a finger, and the hide arrived with the rest without a hitch.

Good hunting,

Don't feel bad. I had a Namibian National Park Game Warden ask me the same question.

I told him that all zebras look alike to US customs. Big Grin
