gerry375Croc kill in Botswana?
Just yesterday I watched one of those "crawl" notes on the bottom of a cable news broadcast (either CNN or Fox, I just didn't notice) It said that a doctor, a medical professor at the University of Washington (and described as "prominent") was seized by a croc and killed in Botswana while in a canoe. The item said that he had come to Botswana just a few weeks before to help out with a doctor shortage. There were no further details. I am no old Africa hand but I do know that a lot of you guys are and even I know such items are news only because a foreigner was involved. I'm hoping that some of you guys have further details that I can pass on to the bunny huggers in my state to show that "it ain't necessarily true that if you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone!"

NitroXI've been canoeing and walking in the Okavango swamps and it would be damned easy for crocs to take people. But usually safety in numbers, or at least the odds are better.
