According to a couple PHs I know they claim the Spanish clients are the worse. Total horn dogs taking chances in the land of AIDS.

Stories please, but try not to use any actual names or nationalities...that is if you ever intend to book another hunt.

I asked a PH about the strangest things clients had asked him to organise. He told me about one request he turned down. Two American E.R. doctors went on safari. On arrival, they spoke elequently of the dangers of AIDS. Then one took a fancy to a female game scout. If the PH was unwilling to help, another game scout was, and a night of commercial love was soon arranged. The female game scout died of AIDS within a year.

I heard this same story from the same PH, whom I know very well (Dean, I met you in camp in Zambia in 2008, PM me if you want to know who I am or you probably already know). The female game scout was HIV+. The client in question was an American physician and took a liking to the game scout's firm posterior while tracking buff and asked for a meeting which the PH refused to arrange but the black staff were happy to oblige. He told the PH the next morning that she was a bit shy at first and didn't smell so good but he put her into the chalet shower and scrubbed her down and then, not to go into too much detail, said that she tasted a bit "tangy" (the PH got a huge kick out of that term, laughed his ass off as he said it) and was good in bed. The PH said that the two doctors had a competition going as to who could screw the most women of different races. The PH was disgusted by the episode and said that the female scout was responsible for giving his longtime driver AIDS from which he subsequently died. Really deplorable behavior.

I had a PH tell me about a regular client that would bring two European prositutes each year on his safari, but probably the funniest one was the guy that brought his girlfriend but forgot to tell the safari company not to publish his pictures in their annual magazine...It didn't go over so well when it was delivered to his house and his wife happened to read it.

On my first trip to Africa my young PH invited me to accompany him to watch a soccer game between RSA and New Zealand at a friends game farm one night. While watching the game over a few drinks one of the PH's younger friends asked me if I was interested in making a side trip to the local village for some additional fun. I passed on the offer telling him the local women didn't appeal to me much given the high incidence of AIDS in the native population.

I certainly do remember meeting you. I didn't know your AR handle though. I heard the story the same way you did and the trackers and game scouts agreed that was what happenned.

As for messing around on safari, well I have a heavily armed wife and 2 young daughters. The last thing I need in my life is more estrogen.

AGREED. Gentlemen, this is not a proper thread for a forum. Aside from the facts that there are comments made in jest, or in disgust, there is the fact that non-hunters sometimes read these boards and this stuff will either create bad opinions of us or reinforce opinions that are unfavorable to begin with.

I had a PH buddy tell me about a Spaniard who brought an entourage of 25 people when he hunted. He brought his chef, his wife and his mistress. I asked how the mistress thing worked out and he said she was shared between he hunter and wife. The PH said the camp staff never could figure that out.
I was hunting at Chama one time when three guys from Chicago showed up with "companions". One guy tried to introduce his companion but kept forgetting her name. All the hunters took home elk with nary a shot fired. In 5 days the only time I ever saw any of them was lunch and dinner.

I've also heard tales of clients who asked for a little something extra from the PH, never heard of a PH who accepted, though. That must make for an uncomfortable situation for the PH.

Couldn't agree more.....we bandied this about before and had similar reactions....can't men still be men and TALK about what men and women do in real life?

my PH in Moz. told me about a German client that brought both his wife and his mistress. wife usually went out on the truck, mistress usually stayed in camp. every night the client would take his Viagra about 9 PM and point to his watch. exactly 45 minutes later he and the mistress would adjourn to his tent. PH finally asked the wife if this situation bothered her. she said no because she was older and had no interest in sex, so it kept her husband from bothering her, plus she got to go and spend whatever she wanted- with the firm understanding that if the husband ever got serious about one of his "friends"- SHE WOULD KILL HIM.

Never been to Africa , hav no first-hand knowledge of this subject but have no reason to believe that peoples behaviour on safari is any differant to their behaviour at home or at work.
Heck - men and women have been shagging each other since before biblical times, its what makes the world go round.

What I do find amusing is the self-righteous postings of people who forget that they themselves are the result of two people rooting each other silly nine months before the said poster was born . Get a life , puritans - you are here for a good time , not a long time ....
