Singleshot03Donated hunt: outfitter goes out of business
Many nonprofits have fundraisers where they auction off donated hunts to Africa and elsewhere.

What should happen if anything, if the outfitter/PH goes out of business or does not honor the donation?

This assumes the buyer of the hunt does everything in their power to connect with the outfitter and meets timelines of the hunt.

I think most organizations auctioning hunts have words on the forms that the buyer signs saying that the organization is not responsible for the hunt. What if anything should the auctioning non-profit do for the buyer?Nothing because you took a risk trying to buy a cheap hunt and the non profit is a good cause anyway.Give the buyer a full credit toward another hunt.Give the buyer a partial credit to another huntGive the buyer back all their money less any costs the charity had in the huntGive the buyer back half of their money.

GunsCoreThis happened to me at SCI with an Aussie hunt I bought. SCI gave me the choice of a full credit towards another hunt or a full cash refund. I took the cash. This happens occassionaly and SCI has procedures already in place when it does. I was completely satisfied and have no problem buying another hunt at any SCI auction.

McKayI bought an SCI Hunt as well and the outfitter ended up being unable to conduct the hunt. SCI refunded my money no questions asked.

MacD37I voted #4 because the proper answer is not listed! If SCI sold you the hunt, and it is not honoered, SCI sould rfeturn your money no questions asked!
