daleWboddington book "elephant"
I just received Boddington's new book entitled "Elephant"
I have not completed the book, but so far excellent read.
It might even rival Will's books on elephant hunting. It might!

quickdrawDoes it exceed his DVD? I've read some reviews of the buffalo book that say his DVDs are better than the book.
I always enjoy Boddington. Lots of insight and experience.

The famous author who wrote "Hunting Africa's Dangerous Game" and "Elephant & Elephant Guns."
Two must read books for anyone considering hunting Africa. Modern day African hunting bible.

GunsCoreI finished it last night. The ending was a little melancholy. He muses on the closing in of elephant territory by the always increasing human population and the impending disaters of too many elephants forced to congregate in Hwange and Chobe. He openly wonders if there will even be any wild Africa left in twenty years time. I get the impression his recent heart attack has had an impact on his outlook. He infers several times to his own limited time left. The outlook for hunting elephant is both good and bad, but in any case take nothing for granted and go now while you can.
I enjoyed it and recommend it to all my fellow hunters along with all those who want to hunt elephants in the future.

PS - If you are relatively healthy and have some $$ available - better do it now before the next "crisis" comes along!

Yes, I keep waiting for his report, and bear in mind that his 7 lb rifle was a conversion from a 45-70. It was not a factory standard.
