We have used the PMP Super-Solids in 475gr on many Hippo, Elephant and Buffalo. Nothing wrong with it. Penetrated well, No bending, good retention as it is a mono metal head.

I do not think that for Lion and Leopard that there will be any problems using the softs. Years ago there were problems with the .458Win but not any more.

Its not bad ammo, if you are going to make your living shooting ele up close then reload with some GS 450 gr FN solids.
For everything else the standard PMP solids are not bad at all.
The reason I suggest the GS for ele is it has a massive straight line penetration advantage in bigger animals and has been recorder penetrating over 96 inches in Ele. That means you can put some serious hits in from behind on fleeing ele and actually get them where they need to go.

If you need help with Ammo and or maybe getting some bits together I can give you a hand.

I used it on Buffalo in Mozambique this year. Twice had to shoot. Penetrates very well. Shot quatering away shots at running Buff. In on the ribs, exiting on the opposite shoulder.

I broke the neck on a big bull, and tha buller did not bend or even scratch. They are very hard.
