hamdeniThanks I'm glad you liked them.
The last 4 photos are from Sweet waters near Nanyuki Kenya and the remaining are from Handeni TZ.As you can see we got stuck from the night before. We drove from Dar at around 3:00 PM and arrived to the town of Handeni at 9:00 PM; we refuel our tanks and had dinner in one of the kiosks. At 10:30PM we drove to the hunting area where we got stuck at around 2:30 AM in a Ngiri hole. There there was no way we could get out of Ngiris hole without a Tree to tie the winch with. So we decided to sleep till the next morning as we were very tired from the long drive. These photos are from sunrise.

kibokolambogoYou need to make a minor investment in a Hi Lift jack and next time
try unhitching the trailer - be surprised how well the reverse gear works

shakariAlternatively, use a ground anchor and if you don't have a proper ground anchor, put the winch cable onto a spare wheel and bury the spare wheel and if you don't have a winch, use a rope and wind the loose end round a front wheel.
In all cases, unhitch the trailer first and use the winch (if you have it) and engine combined and drive out VERY slowly.
Any of those options work a treat!

No point gettin' old if you don't get crafty!

Nice pics BTW.

hamdeniShakari,
We did think of using the spare wheel as the last resort. We actually got stuck in a tunnel of holes, so that made it hard to dig out.
As they say he who is older than you by a day is wiser than you by a year.

hamdeniBwanamich,
We were hunting on an open area in handeni, our main game was buffalo but we did not see any. We did manage to shoot an impala.
There were Masai everywhere with their cattle; I think that is what drove all the animals in the opposite block.

JBoutfishnAh the internet

Hamdeni posts some great pictures and all the "experts" jump in and tell everyone how to get their vehicle out of a hole

It's obvious they got out without your help..............
Hamdeni, thank you for sharing your adventure and beautiful pictures.
