Use Enough GunI've eaten both and am still living.

Been so long I can't recall my reaction, but it wasn't one of revolt.

In fact, the PHs and the camp cooks suggested trying it.

I draw my line on eating safari meat at baboon and hyena.

Arild IversenNamibia 2011, PAC lion, killed cattle.
The farm manager had the backstraps grilled just for the hell of it.
Light color, much like pig, but though and rather tastless.
The wine was good.
But hell, yes I have eaten lion

https://www.facebook.com/pages...ures/627027353990716 Interesting. I have had Mountain Lion in the states and it was excellent. Like a pork roast in taste and consistency.
I would have expected Lion/Leopard to be the same.
I did ask the cook to fix some of my Croc last year and under some light protest he did. It was the worst meat I have ever eaten. the more you chewed, the bigger it got. It was bitter and nasty. I ate it all just because I had asked him to make it, but I was the only one at the table who did so. Probably due to the age of the animal as I hear the younger ones are not too bad.
Had the same experience with croc from a Zambezi tributary. A strong metallic taste. Nothing like alligator meat. Maybe food source?

I had croc tail from the Luangwa River (cooked under protest) in Zambia and it tasted just like fish. I was very surprised. I liked it.
I wanted to taste lion too!
