Yes Todd, they are all old hard bossed bulls.
Only in Zimbabwe have we ever seen so many such bulls together.
We were driving along a dry river bed, and came close to a small pool of water with some grass around it.
Suddenly, these bulls got up from there and took off.
WE stopped the truck, and followed them.
We walked for quite a while on their tracks, and then lost it.
We had a short rest, and started walking back to our truck.
Suddenly, we saw them, and after a quick engagement, we had all three of them down as you can see.

I think Saeed probably waited until they were all three lined up abreast of each other before he shot them all with one single bullet in the super duper whackmaster 375/404 Saeed!!
But hey, that is pretty cool to have all three posed like that together. The crew was busy that day, eh?
Hey Marcus, for some reason, I like the #1 bull on the far left. The boss is better on the #3 bull but I like the overall conformation better on #1, especially with the worn tips. All three being great bulls however.

Buzz CharltonI have just arrived back from my last hunt of the season and read with interest this threat. For clarity purposes I would like to clarify our position on buff hunting.
We do indeed put a BIG emphasis on old bulls over the younger higher scoring buff. Having said that though, while we would love to have ever client shoot an old hard bossed bull we are realist and appreciate that every client has different capabilities, in particular physical capabilities.
We are not such purest that we would rather have a client that is on his one and only hard earned buff hunt that has physical limitations have to turn down a slightly soft bull to go home empty handed.
An example was this season we had a fellow who was suffering from cancer and will not be coming to Africa again. It was his first and last buff hunt but with the treatment he was unable to walk long distances. He ended up having a wonderful buff hunt and shot a very respectable bull BUT not to totally closed. I think that every hunt should be taken on merit.
